What I discovered is that forgiveness is a blessing to the one who gives it. The anger, hatred and fear that you harbor hurts you, not the person you hate or fear. When you forgive them, you rid yourself of the poison that anger and hate bring. Let go of the anger, let in the peace. I am lucky to have learned the lesson of forgiveness while I was still young.
